Final week of the year!

A lot going on this week. Wednesday is our school picnic. Our class is having a shared lunch and I am ordering pizzas and bringing in ice cream. If you would like a few pieces bring in $2 or bring in something to share for our lunch. The children can come in mufti but please make sure they are sun smart! Also don't forget your togs. In the afternoon room 15 children are putting on a Christmas concert singing carols. This will be followed by a graduation ceremony! Please come along . Thursday morning at 9.30 there is
school prize giving. At 5.30 in the evening it will be the end of year mass and all children are expected to attend.

Week 6

Wow these last few weeks have been busy!The production was a success. A job well done to all you superstars for learning your words to the school songs! Grandparents Mass was amazing! We had some fantastic little readers participating!
As we will be learning about Sun Safety this week, please ensure all children bring their hats everyday. No sunhat means you are stuck under the trees or other shady areas of the school. To make things easier, I will keep everyone's hat in class.
Next Friday ( Week 7) Our class will be leading assembly. It will have a " Sun Safety" theme so if you have some free time, do come to see your talented children! It would also be great if children brought in some " Summer Clothes" ( hats, sunglasses, shorts, t-shirts and jandals etc ) to wear on that day, to make our assembly effective! Any questions come in and see me!
All library books are due back now. So please be sure to bring these back!
Golden Time this week is: PJ/ Pillow Dance Party! Don't forget your PJ's and a pillow!( Here's hoping the children will be sooooo tired and will sleep most of the afternoon!)hehe

We enjoyed the story " The Little Red Hen" where the Little Red Hen baked bread and ate it all to herself. Thank you to Mrs Richardson for having the bread dough ready for us to bake and eat!

We measured the heater, the whiteboard and the height of the cubbyholes. We used our hands first. Why weren't our answers the same?
We have some  clever cookies in our class who were able to explain that. Because the size of our hands are different! If you have small hands you will have a bigger number, if your hands are big, your number will be small!

Week 2 Term 4

Hi everyone I hope you had a wonderful long weekend. With such fantastic behaviour displayed last week I thought it was only fair to give you kids Monday off!! hehe
This week we are having Wheels Day for Golden Time. If you bring your bike please make sure you have your helmet packed as well. Hope the weather is great this Friday.
No swimming this week!
Quite abit of assessments will be taking place in the classroom also. I will try my best to make sure your children have extra readers to take home, as I may not see them as often as I usually do.
I am sending home a spelling sheet for your child to practice at home. They will be tested every Friday. I will mark their sheet and they will see their progress on a chart I have displayed in class. They have been colour coded, so all they have to do is remember what colour they have to practice this week.

Big Big Thank You

A great big thank you to all of the parents and children who came on Saturday to help with the working bee, shifting all furniture from our old class into our new class. I am extremely lucky to have a wonderful set of parents. You are an awesome lot. Thank you once again!The class is now ready for some fabulous learning!Looking forward to seeing you on the first day and hearing all about your holidays.

Have been informed that our new classroom will be ready on the last weekend of the holidays. I was hoping I could get some parent helpers to help me shift things from our old class to our new class. Your help will be kindly appreciated. I will be at school on Saturday 14th July from 10am onwards.More hands make light work! Hello everyone. Apologies for not having posted comments in the last few weeks. Our memory card has gone walk about's, so it is quite difficult to take photos and video footage.

This Friday, the Room 15 wonderful children are leading the assembly. It would be great to see parents attend. Assembly is at 11.00 after morning tea. They will be showing off their talents in reading, writing and singing. You don't want to miss out!!

We tried very hard to make our dominoes stay up. It did get very frustrating when we had made a long trail and then it would fall! We learned you had to have lots of patience and you should never give up!

First Two Weeks

I have enjoyed the first two weeks of school getting to know the new children of Rm 15 2012. I am very excited to be sharing and aiding in the learning of all the children. I really do believe that I have the best class in the whole entire school.
